http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/311046_fbiterror11.html Gee, the problem might be that there are so many cops wasting their time stalking and harassing people and the higher up law enforcement people PROTECTING criminals that no one can catch the mysterious 'fraudsters'...gimme a f*ckin break. Does the American public actually buy into this? No wonder certain victim-witnesses need to be silenced (right here) ...and as Targets then we need to be called crazy or insane so no one gets hip to the fact that if they wanted to catch ANY criminal thye really wanted to, they could.
Unless the fraudsters (whoever coined that term needs a creative writing class, a vocabulary lesson and a spanking NOW..horrible. Another 'dumb down' term for American culture to turn you brain to jelly. Throw that one in under 'proactive'...maybe they'll cross pollinate and name an acne medicine after 'fraudster' like with 'pro-active'....hmm, 'fraudster-could be like, um, a restaraunt.."Come to Fraudsters grand opening..free cheese whats-its with a bucket of chicken whatever." Like Fudruckers, which we all know we want to say Fuck rudders..ahhh how racy!!! So stupid...go ahead, use Fraudsters as a brand name..Americans wont even notice and if they do it dont matter anyway. )
..ahem, unless 'fraudsters' (ugh) have some tech and manipulative edge or their set up is so sophisticated that they cannot be caught. It is a documented fact that white collar crime often goes unpunished in this country when in fact it costs the highest of any crime.

The thing I love about this case is that anyone from 'the street' could've seen this guy comin...just look into his eyes.

Dont lose heart. It has been a free for all this whole time. A scam, and a scam of this magnitude (only able to be pulled during the confusion of war utilizing the hysteria of war.)

In the UK, paid informants are known as "supergrasses" and they have rarely, if ever, helped to put away the right people.
ReplyDeleteFrequently, they are professional criminals who turn informant in order to find out what the police are interested in, and to manipulate that interest away from them. And they are happy to take money and armed protection from the police as well!
There was one in Arlesey, Bedfordshire, who regularly gave Bedfordshire detectives plausible information on burglars and fences. He was a serial rapist, and the tip-off was always just before he planned to rape someone, so that he knew the detectives and the bulk of that night's uniformed duty complement would be kicking in the burglar's front door, elsewhere from the well-planned rape. He also flaunted his police connections in front of his victims, to persuade them that talking to the police would just get them in more trouble.
He was only caught when he held a girl prisoner for a long period, feeding her only on slimming "food". She escaped, and found herself next to Hitchin telephone exchange. This is in Hertfordshire, and Hertfordshire Police could see for themselves how she'd broken out of a flat heavily converted into a prison, so there was no trouble about being believed! If she hadn't got away, I think that case would have been the transition from "serial rapist" to "serial killer" as there was a big change in behaviour, and there was no possibility of his ever letting the girl go alive.
Barri White was wrongly convicted of the murder of his girlfriend, Rachel Manning, partly on the evidence of an informant who was also a very active drugs dealer, present at the place where Rachel;s body was found in order to dig up his stash -and in the eyes of many, a much better suspect for Rachel's murder than Barri White. Took six years to get Barri out of jail, guilty party (whoever it is) still free.
Trouble is, once the police have been led up the garden path by an informant, they start to find all sorts of "evidence" that seems to fit -and they ignore the evidence that doesn't.
The least reliable category of evidence in the English Criminal Justice system is known as the "cellmate confession" whereby someone who has failed to give police a single clue under careful interrogation, and is the subject of little or no physical evidence, somehow decides to tell chapter and verse to a career criminal seeking a lighter sentence for his own crimes, in the dark of their shared cell, overnight, and in the absence of corroborating witnesses and contemporaneous notes.
It's by cellmate confessions that we know that Michael Stone killed Lin and Meg Russell, and that Chris Nudds killed Fred Moss and destroyed his body, utterly without trace, by burning.
If, one day, Medawar turns a corner and meets Fred Moss face to face, he isn't necessarily going to feel as if he's seen a ghost.
