The suspect part is when you use a different email and you get flagged immediately. However I discovered that CL can recognize your IP address.
So its unclear who the perps are in this scenerio. Is it abuse of the system by corrupt law enforcement who only have to make a quick call and CL will do whatever they say even if its unethical or has no legal merit? Due to the Craigslist Killer some years ago Ive noted over the years a definite presence on CL even the people youre meeting to use rideshares etc.
Once youve had something like that happen on your site most likely you are the feds bitch forever.
Kind of like the prominent big hospital in Boston that boasts being the best in the country etc that got busted for internal drug dealing and buying from employees a few years ago, then got investigated and fined by the feds. (They are a teaching hospital bloated on research funds and had been documented to be involved in MK Ultra decades ago, so should not be allowed to be a research hospital at all).
The place will never be the same and you can just tell they are the feds bitch forever. The place isnt even safe to walk into to accompany a patient. Its like choosing to become a snitch when you get into trouble for something and its now your job for as long as you live. Which is one of the number one reasons for GS recruitment of perps anyway.)
So all some asshole has to do is flag your post when it comes out and if you try to repost it might register as spam if its done too many times in a day or from that IP etc.
All trolls have to do is flag it whenever it comes out and the bots do the rest. Either that or they have people who are willing to take part in discrimination on thier staff.
Thier should be a class action lawsuit against CL due to the way that flagging can be used so easily for systematic harassment as well as discrimination. Also reporting it to HUD is one of thier recommendations however if their flagging system has no controls what are they going to do to stop the housing discriminiation or people being prevented from using thier site?
They only have a customer service number where all of the options end with a lazy San Fran type guy slowly telling you that you should email them at different addresses. There is of course an option for law enforcement and Im sure that one goes to someone live or gives another number that is live.
CL main concern for the rest of thier existence is doing what they are told or having lax systems that make negligence possible because it makes corruption easier. They will forever have that murder on thier reputation and will be paying the rent on that forever. Especially since thier lax, negligent system is what caused the murder in the first place...and probably some more sinister purposeful negligence of the system that should know that killer was out there, who he was and what he was doing.
That is one of the main reasons why the theory of 'gang stalking' cannot ever be officially recognized, beyond the concepts of say bullying, cyber harassment, individual stalking or workplace mobbing- which are all officially recognized and have legal recourse.
Imagine if a TI claimed that they were traveling to, say, Santa Monica CA around the time Whitey Bulger was still hiding out living there. Say that Target claimed that they were followed or harassed almost immediately or within a day of arriving in the area...yet the legit and recognized system could not seem to find someone like Whitey, who had been hiding out in that area for years. With all the surviellance tech, anti terrorism, intelligence networks, phone tracking, finaincial monitoring and plain old spies and snitches etc they still could not find a person like a major wanted criminal within the borders of the United States. Riiiggghhht.
Therefore, all the serial killers, the drug cartels etc etc everyone who shouls be being caught with such a system is left to regular local law enforcement. while innocent peoples lives are ruined using most likely black budgets that seem bottomless and endless.
So, youd have to deny such a system exists or thier would be major public outcry and legal reprocussions etc.
The only way to solve this form of instant libel against a CL poster is a class action against CL for not having ways of stopping discrimination etc.
IF this happens to you then all you can do is write to CL at support@Craigslist.org or fill out a form about flagging harassment on the site. You can try to take thier suggestion and call HUD to complain if its a housing issue.
